Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Communications Coordinator will lead the execution of TREES Tanzania’s communications strategy, working closely with program teams and the Marketing & Communications team in Nairobi. This role enhances both internal and external messaging, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, donor requirements, and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor visibility, branding, and public‑engagement initiatives for TREES Tanzania.
• Produce high‑quality communication materials, including written content, documentation, photography, videography, archiving, packaging, and dissemination of program stories, best practices, and impact narratives.
• Coordinate media engagement, campaigns, events, and other public‑facing activities to boost organisational visibility and stakeholder advocacy.
• Act as the primary liaison between TREES Tanzania, media outlets, partners, donors, and the public, ensuring consistent brand representation.

Required profile

• Legally authorised to work in Tanzania.
• Strong experience in communications, media relations, and storytelling within the non‑profit or environmental sector.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
