About the role
Mamoru is expanding its cutting‑edge financial services across Africa and seeks a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead the launch and growth of its FX trading operations in Tanzania. You will act as the local face of the company, establishing essential partnerships and driving market penetration among high‑net‑worth, institutional, and retail clients.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in setting up the Tanzanian legal entity, FX broker and exchange accounts, and onboarding payment processors.
- Collaborate closely with the global operations team to ensure seamless local execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, brokers, exchanges, merchants, and payment processors.
- Develop and launch FX trading services targeting HNW investors, institutions, merchants, and individual traders.
- Monitor market trends, identify opportunities, assess risks, and propose new projects in the FX payments space.
- Serve as nominee director of the local entity and manage administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Prior experience in banking or FX with solid knowledge of trading products and trade life‑cycle.
- Must be a Tanzanian national.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑management abilities.
- Adaptable mindset to thrive in a fast‑changing market and handle diverse tasks independently.
- Detail‑oriented, capable of multitasking across multiple projects.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Required skills
- Understanding of foreign‑exchange trading products and processes.
- Experience with setting up broker, exchange, and payment‑processor accounts.
