Business Development Manager – Africa & GCC

About the role

The Business Development Manager / Country Sales Manager will lead B2B sales growth across Africa and the GCC for a leading international chemicals company. You will be responsible for expanding the customer base, securing new contracts and nurturing key accounts in the industrial chemicals sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new business opportunities in the industrial chemicals, petrochemicals and related markets.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing key customers, including manufacturers, distributors and industrial end‑users.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across Africa and the GCC.
• Provide technical guidance on product applications and solutions to customers.
• Travel extensively across the assigned territories and manage a personal sales book.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in industrial chemicals, petrochemicals, solvents, lubricants, base oils, polymers, specialty chemicals, paints or coatings.
• Established customer network and proven track record of winning new business while growing existing accounts.
• Relevant degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Willingness to travel frequently and equipped with own vehicle, laptop and home‑office setup.

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding of industrial chemical products and their applications.
• Knowledge of petrochemicals, solvents, lubricants, base oils, polymers, specialty chemicals and paints & coatings.
