Big Data and AI Specialist

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Big Data and AI Specialist to design and implement AI systems that drive product monetisation, productivity and customer service excellence. You will work on end‑to‑end big‑data projects, build data lakehouses and deliver actionable insights that support business objectives globally.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, analyse and interpret trends in complex data sets.
• Extract and transform data from multiple sources to build domain‑oriented lakehouses (ETL).
• Manage end‑to‑end go‑to‑market execution of big‑data, AI and special projects.
• Implement and operationalise machine‑learning models on MLOps platforms for various business areas.
• Communicate analytics and ML use cases and results to business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in big‑data or data‑science roles.
• Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, AI, etc.).
• Strong analytical, causal‑reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate market dynamics and propose proactive commercial actions.

Required skills

• Python and its data‑science ecosystem.
• SQL for structured data manipulation.
• Big‑data platforms such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Machine‑learning model development and experiment design.
• Experience with MLOps pipelines.
