Assistant Workshop Manager

About the role

The Assistant Workshop Manager will support the Workshop Manager in overseeing daily workshop activities, ensuring smooth production flow and acting as a vital communication link between Chinese senior management and local staff. This role offers a hands‑on learning environment to develop technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and workshop management practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Workshop Manager in supervising workshop employees and daily operations.
• Coordinate production tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
• Facilitate communication and translation between Chinese management and local employees.
• Handle workshop‑related administrative duties and reporting.
• Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and performance.
• Learn production processes, manufacturing technology, and management practices.
• Support the implementation of company policies and operational requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Workshop Manager.

Required profile

• Ability to communicate in Chinese, both spoken and written.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to learn.
• Basic computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Manufacturing or production experience is an advantage.
