Asset Recovery Specialist

About the role

PalmPay is looking for a detail‑oriented Asset Recovery Specialist to manage the retrieval of financed electronic devices from delinquent customers. You will work closely with customers, logistics partners and internal teams to ensure devices are returned efficiently and in compliance with legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor a portfolio of delinquent accounts and identify recovery opportunities.
• Contact customers via phone, email, SMS or app notifications to negotiate device returns, settlements or repayment plans.
• Coordinate voluntary return logistics, including prepaid shipping labels, courier pickups or drop‑off points.
• Work with third‑party logistics, refurbishers and skip‑tracing agents to locate and retrieve assets.
• Investigate cases of non‑returned, lost, stolen or fraudulently financed devices.
• Track device status, IMEI numbers and geolocation using internal systems.
• Ensure all actions comply with consumer protection, privacy regulations and company policies.
• Document recovery actions and maintain detailed case records in CRM platforms.
• Analyse non‑recovery trends and provide feedback to underwriting, fraud detection and customer support teams.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams when escalations or legal proceedings are required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in collections, asset recovery, telecom or device financing.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage high‑volume portfolios.
• Familiarity with data privacy and consumer protection regulations.
