Account Developer – Key Accounts

About the role

The Account Developer – Key Accounts will join the Sales & Marketing team of Coca‑Cola Beverages Africa, reporting to the Country Lead for Key Accounts. The role focuses on driving sales growth, ensuring execution excellence, and building strong relationships with key customers across modern trade channels.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed daily, weekly and monthly sales targets by optimizing every sales opportunity.
• Maintain rigorous execution standards in outlets, ensuring compliance with the company’s Picture of Success and sales routines.
• Develop long‑term customer relationships, address queries promptly and keep customers informed about new products.
• Onboard and support new dealers to expand the customer base and increase market share.
• Implement promotional activities, manage stock rotation, and ensure quality standards and trade replacements are handled effectively.

Required profile

• Formal qualification in Marketing, Sales or a related field (advantageous).
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, preferably managing key accounts.
• Familiarity with Route‑to‑Market principles and customer relationship management.
• Experience using digital sales platforms and tools.
• Physically fit with the ability to cover sales routes and maintain high energy levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sales Force Automation (SFA) or similar digital sales platforms.
• Advanced selling and negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to calculate orders, assess stocking requirements and present profit‑focused proposals.
• Competence in using digital tools to track performance and manage customer data.
