Warehouse Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for a Warehouse Superintendent to lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, issuance and dispatch of materials while maintaining strict compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, issuing, and dispatch of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of critical spares, consumables, and operational materials.
• Oversee receipt of materials and equipment, verifying quantities, specifications, and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Ensure accurate documentation and system entries for all received items.
• Assign daily tasks to warehouse personnel and supervise their performance.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental, and security requirements, including safe handling of hazardous materials and chemicals.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or warehouse management system.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams regarding material deliveries and stock requirements.
• Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage, deterioration, loss, or theft.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to supervise warehouse staff and manage daily operational tasks.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and security standards in a warehouse setting.
• Experience monitoring inventory levels and managing stock of critical supplies.
• Ability to verify received goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems for accurate record‑keeping.
• Good coordination skills with procurement and logistics functions.
