Volunteer Coordinator (Part‑time Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time remote Volunteer Coordinator to lead the recruitment, onboarding and engagement of volunteers across our programs. In this role you will ensure volunteers have the tools, training and support they need to contribute effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, screen and onboard new volunteers.
• Schedule volunteer assignments and maintain accurate records in databases or tracking tools.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate volunteer training sessions.
• Provide ongoing guidance, feedback and resources to volunteers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate virtual meetings and events.
• Support community‑outreach initiatives to expand volunteer participation.
• Monitor program needs, track volunteer hours and prepare basic engagement reports.

Required profile

• Strong volunteer management and training experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proven experience in community outreach and stakeholder engagement.
• Highly organized with solid time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information.
• Prior experience in nonprofit or volunteer coordination roles; relevant education in social sciences, communications or nonprofit management is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and online collaboration tools.
• Experience using volunteer database or tracking software.
