Technical Sales Engineer Intern

About the role

Northtek Hydroworks Ltd is seeking a motivated Technical Sales Engineer Intern to join its sales team in Ilemela. This full‑time, on‑site internship offers hands‑on experience in translating technical product knowledge into customer‑focused solutions within the water and energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Learn product specifications and assist in preparing technical proposals.
• Support the sales team with presentations, product demonstrations, and basic technical inquiries.
• Help develop quotations and gather customer requirements under senior guidance.
• Maintain customer records, track sales opportunities, and follow up on leads.
• Coordinate with technical and operations teams to ensure accurate information is shared with clients.
• Participate in site visits, training sessions, and internal meetings as needed.

Required profile

• Completed degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Valid driving licence for classes B and D.
• Basic understanding of water or energy systems, or a strong interest in learning about these sectors.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Ilemela and attend field or client visits.

Required skills

• Electrical Engineering knowledge.
• Proficiency with standard office software (email, spreadsheets, presentations).
• Basic understanding of water or energy system concepts.
