Technical Operator

About the role

East African Breweries PLC is seeking a Technical Operator to run and maintain its packaging line equipment. The role ensures safe, efficient production of high‑quality beverage products while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Start‑up, operate, shut‑down and monitor equipment performance according to SOPs.
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks, including CILT, LOTOTO and condition‑based inspections.
• Execute equipment changeovers and adjustments efficiently.
• Capture accurate production data and update reporting platforms such as SAP.
• Maintain hygiene standards and keep work areas clean.
• Deliver products that meet all quality specifications and perform Quality at Source checks.
• Support the Asset Care team during maintenance or breakdowns and raise work orders.
• Apply environmental, health and safety procedures and reduce waste (water, energy, material).
• Utilise digital systems (Orbis, Harford, STRATA) and follow MMS best practices.

Required profile

• Experience operating packaging line machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety and quality standards rigorously.
• Proactive attitude towards problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work on shift patterns and respond to process deviations.
