Stores & Inventory Supervisor

About the role

The Stores & Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, goods and spare parts while ensuring accurate record‑keeping and compliance with purchase orders. The role supports efficient warehouse operations, maintains safety standards, and provides timely inventory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify quantity, quality and compliance of incoming materials against purchase orders.
• Record all receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments in ERP systems and maintain bin cards and stock registers.
• Issue materials against approved requisitions with proper documentation.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts, reconciliations and ensure FIFO/FEFO rotation.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports and generate local purchase orders from approved requisitions.
• Support internal and external stock audits and uphold high warehouse safety and security standards.
• Prevent material loss, damage, theft and unnecessary stock shortages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Stores Management or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in stores, warehouse or inventory management.
• Strong knowledge of stock control, material handling and warehouse practices.
• Good understanding of health, safety and security requirements in a warehouse environment.
• Attention to detail, honesty, reliability and ability to work under pressure.
