Start‑up Advisor – MNCH‑N Technical Assistance (1‑month)

About the role

Jhpiego is seeking a technical start‑up advisor to support the launch of a donor‑funded maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition (MNCH‑N) project in Tanzania. This one‑month assignment will focus on providing expert input to project design, target setting, and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Jhpiego Technical Directors, the start‑up team, and the Global Team to shape the project design.
• Review and refine service‑level targets for national, regional, council and facility/community levels.
• Facilitate consultation meetings with donors, the Ministry of Health, national partners, private sector and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance on quality improvement, health workforce capacity, health information systems, supply chain, referral mechanisms and other health‑system strengthening components.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition programs.
• Strong background in health systems strengthening and technical assistance.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for multi‑stakeholder environments.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in MNCH‑N interventions.
• Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of health information systems and supply chain management.
