Senior Research Manager

About the role

Imagine Worldwide Tanzania is seeking a Senior Research Manager to lead the measurement and evaluation of its tablet‑based learning program. The role will support program expansion, ensure high‑quality implementation, and provide evidence for government partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a multi‑method research portfolio covering learning outcomes and implementation quality.
• Oversee contracts, budgets, and deliverables with in‑country research partners.
• Coordinate research schedules with the Tanzania country team and relevant government representatives.
• Gather stakeholder input to shape research activities and identify new research needs.
• Prepare and submit research ethics applications.
• Serve as the primary liaison for government inquiries related to the tablet program’s research.
• Report progress and findings to the Global research team and country leadership.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
• Experience managing large‑scale research projects in education or development contexts.
• Strong ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging government and partner stakeholders.
