Senior Mechanics – Light Trucks

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanic to lead the maintenance of a light commercial vehicle fleet for a major beverage producer. The role involves hands‑on repair, preventive maintenance, and workshop coordination for trucks ranging from 3.5 to 10 tons, including refrigerated units.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop activities and maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain light trucks (3.5‑10 tons).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on delivery and refrigerated trucks.
• Plan and monitor vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate workshop records, service histories, and spare‑parts inventories.
• Identify recurring mechanical issues and propose solutions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in truck maintenance and workshop operations.
• Proven experience with light trucks (3.5‑10 tons) and delivery vehicles.
• Experience servicing refrigerated trucks is an advantage.
• Previous supervisory or workshop‑management experience.
• Valid driving licence is a plus.
