Senior Electrical Technician

About the role

Our client, a leading beverage manufacturer in Tanzania, is looking for a Senior Electrical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot the electrical systems of its heavy‑duty truck fleet. The role ensures safe, reliable operation of the fleet and supports the production logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems on trucks, including starters, alternators, batteries, lighting, sensors and wiring harnesses.
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to locate faults and perform corrective actions.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics to guide repairs.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems in accordance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Guide and mentor junior electrical technicians.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in heavy‑duty truck electrical maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical diagnostics and electronic control systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
