Salesperson – Sustainable Furniture & Materials

About the role

The Salesperson will be based in Arusha and will represent Dunia Designs’ line of sustainable furniture and building materials. You will engage both prospective and existing clients, showcase eco‑friendly products, and help translate design concepts into sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets for furniture and construction‑material solutions.
• Conduct showroom or on‑site demonstrations for walk‑in customers and scheduled appointments.
• Prepare accurate quotations, process orders, and follow up on leads generated through referrals, marketing campaigns, and events.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, gather feedback, and ensure timely delivery in coordination with design and production teams.
• Support promotional activities, represent the brand at trade shows and community events, and help raise market awareness of the company’s circular‑economy products.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, customer service or account management within furniture, interiors, construction materials or related sectors.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building long‑term client trust.
• Fluency in English; Swahili or additional languages are a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward achieving sales goals.
• Interest in sustainable design, circular economy or environmentally responsible products.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with CRM tools for lead tracking and client management.
• Competence in email and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) for preparing quotations and maintaining records.
