Sales Specialist – Steel Products

About the role

The Sales Specialist will drive revenue growth for a leading steel manufacturer by developing sales strategies, managing channel partners, and expanding market presence across Tanzania.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet monthly sales and revenue targets.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, sub‑dealers, and other channel partners.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s market footprint.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to spot trends and growth opportunities.
• Handle customer relationships, complaints, collections, and ensure overall satisfaction.
• Lead marketing initiatives including branding, advertising, digital marketing and trade shows.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, KPI analysis and market updates for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sales, marketing, project sales, dealership or channel sales.
• Experience in steel, cement, building materials or related industries is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Proven track record of building customer and partner relationships and achieving sales targets.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and reporting skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, proactive, adaptable and willing to work in the Mbeya market.
