Sales & Service Engineer – Water Treatment Systems

About the role

Joyaqua Limited is seeking a Sales & Service Engineer to lead the technical operations of its water and wastewater treatment solutions in Tanzania. The role combines hands‑on service of reverse‑osmosis (RO) systems with business development and marketing activities, supporting both existing clients and new opportunities across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, service and repair RO water‑treatment plants and related equipment on client sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and process faults (pumps, three‑phase power, solenoid/automatic valves, PLC or touchscreen controls, membranes).
• Manage pretreatment processes such as sand and carbon filter back‑washing, softener resin regeneration and antiscalant dosing.
• Interpret water‑analysis reports, adjust dosing and pretreatment to prevent scaling and fouling.
• Maintain accurate service records, train client operators and manage spare‑parts and consumables inventory.
• Conduct site surveys, collect water samples and specify suitable systems for prospective customers.
• Prepare quotations, support tender proposals and follow up on sales leads.
• Execute marketing and promotional activities on social and traditional media and oversee the local marketing budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commissioning, maintaining and troubleshooting RO water‑treatment systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and travel regularly across Tanzania.
• Strong communication skills to report system status and interact professionally with industrial clients.
• Commercial mindset to identify business opportunities during service visits.
