Sales Marketing Executive – Tourism & Safari

About the role

We are seeking a driven Sales Marketing Executive to expand revenue for Lairs & Planet Lodges across Tanzania. Based in Arusha, you will be the first point of contact for tour operators, travel advisors, and corporate clients, turning relationships into consistent bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with domestic tour operators, travel advisors, and corporate clients.
• Convert leads into confirmed bookings through proactive follow‑up and strong product knowledge.
• Meet and exceed individual sales targets, contributing directly to group revenue goals.
• Represent Lairs & Planet Lodges at trade events, fam trips, and client meetings.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and client database.
• Provide timely, accurate proposals and responses to enquiries.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on strategy and market priorities.
• Coordinate with reservations and operations teams for smooth handover from sale to guest arrival.
• Share market intelligence and client feedback to inform product and pricing decisions.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of sales experience in Tanzania tourism, safari, or hospitality.
• Deep understanding of the Tanzanian safari and travel trade landscape.
• Fluent in Swahili and English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and close sales.
• Self‑motivated, organised, and target‑driven.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Arusha.
• Existing relationships with domestic tour operators or travel advisors.

Required skills

• Experience with reservations or CRM systems, preferably ResRequest.
