Sales Manager – Tanzania & East Africa

About the role

Verto is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the acquisition of new companies and expand its footprint across Tanzania and the wider East African region. You will be central to driving revenue growth, building local relationships, and advancing Verto’s mission to democratise global finance.

Key responsibilities

• Grow revenue by acquiring new customers and upselling existing clients.
• Expand the customer base in Tanzania, targeting sectors such as trade, logistics, and SMEs.
• Design and execute region‑specific sales strategies aligned with Verto’s goals.
• Implement streamlined sales processes to ensure an efficient pipeline, accurate forecasting, and consistent deal closure.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Leverage performance metrics and sales analytics to refine strategies and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to align offerings with market needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within payments or fintech.
• Deep understanding of the Tanzanian and East African market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and expand a customer base.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with experience using sales data to inform strategy.
