Sales Manager – Market Development in Tanzania

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead market development across Tanzania, focusing on medium and small projects within the mining, railway, petroleum, petrochemical and energy sectors. You will promote Hytera’s public‑private converged communication and PoC solutions, building a pipeline of short‑term and long‑term opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities with local distributors, system integrators and end‑users to meet regional targets.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key decision‑makers in energy, mining and transportation companies.
• Conduct market research, monitor trends and competitor activity, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
• Track sales progress, compile data and submit regular reports to management.
• Travel regularly within Tanzania as required to support business development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven business development and project sales track record, preferably in the ICT communication industry.
• Familiarity with Tanzania’s mining, railway, petroleum and energy sectors is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Fluent oral and written English.
• Willingness to reside long‑term in Tanzania and undertake frequent business trips.
