Sales Executive – Japanese Vehicle Imports

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Executive to drive the promotion and sale of Japanese‑imported vehicles in Tanzania. The role involves managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, while building lasting relationships with individual buyers, dealers and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities across individual buyers, car dealers and corporate clients.
• Advise customers on vehicle options, pricing, financing and import specifications.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
• Generate leads through walk‑ins, referrals, social media and digital platforms.
• Prepare and present proposals, quotes and contracts tailored to client needs.
• Gather market intelligence on competitor pricing, customer preferences and emerging trends.
• Close sales deals and ensure proper documentation of agreements.
• Provide regular sales reports, pipeline updates and performance feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, International Business or a related field.
• 2‑3 years proven sales experience, preferably in automotive, import/export or related trading.
• Strong understanding of the vehicle market dynamics in Tanzania (advantageous).
• Excellent negotiation, communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑oriented.
