Sales Executive

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive revenue growth for Meliá hotels by developing and managing local and domestic accounts, negotiating commercial agreements, and supporting the Director of Sales (DOS) in strategic planning. This position offers the chance to work across multiple markets and become part of Meliá’s global family.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the DOS/AsDOS in preparing budgets, business plans and weekly projections for assigned segments.
• Monitor and report on sales objectives, coordinating with Sales Managers and Sales Offices.
• Implement sales action plans to exceed quantitative and qualitative targets for designated geographic areas.
• Attract, develop and manage small‑to‑medium size local/domestic accounts not covered by Sales Office Account Managers.
• Promote the hotel using Meliá tools such as MeliaPro Rewards and TravelLabs.
• Negotiate and close commercial agreements (dynamic, fixed, negotiated) and prepare related contracts, RFPs and business cases.
• Coordinate with Group Sales, Conference teams and the Group Desk to support meetings, groups and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Maintain awareness of competition, GDS channels and market trends to inform sales pitches.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales with a focus on account management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to analyse budgets, forecasts and performance data.
• Excellent communication and problem‑resolution capabilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with GDS platforms.
• Use of Meliá tools such as MeliaPro Rewards and TravelLabs.
