Sales and Marketing Executive - Corporate Travel

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited in the travel and tourism industry is looking for a Sales and Marketing Executive in Dar es Salaam. The role focuses on developing and maintaining corporate client relationships, finding new business opportunities and promoting the company's travel products and services. The ideal candidate has prior experience in banking, telecom or service-based industries, excellent communication skills and is confident, well-presented and target-driven.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target potential corporate clients through market research, cold calls and business visits.
• Develop customized travel proposals tailored to corporate client needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and travel coordinators.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts while ensuring competitive pricing and high service standards.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor client travel patterns and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
• Support the implementation of marketing campaigns for the company's travel products and services.
• Ensure client satisfaction through consistent communication, problem-solving and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate client data and update CRM systems regularly.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales reports, tracking performance and conversion ratios.
• Coordinate with operations, ticketing and accounts teams, and share market insights in regular sales meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in corporate travel sales or account management.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills; professional appearance and confident personality.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
