Registered Nurse – Mwanza (Full‑time Clinical Role)

About the role

The Registered Nurse position in Mwanza is a full‑time, on‑site role delivering direct patient care within a clinical or hospital environment. The nurse will work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence‑based care for all patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, monitor vital signs and document clinical observations.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including basic life support when required.
• Maintain accurate medical records using electronic systems.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatments and follow‑up care.
• Respond to emergencies according to clinical protocols.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety standards and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in handover reports, multidisciplinary meetings and continuous training.

Required profile

• Valid registration and license as a Registered Nurse with the Tanzanian regulatory authority.
• Completion of an accredited nursing diploma or degree.
• Demonstrated competence in patient assessment, medication administration and documentation.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as needed.
