Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join our fast‑paced Emergency Room. The RN will provide comprehensive patient assessment, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes in urgent situations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform systematic assessment and data collection of physiologic, psychological and cognitive status.
• Develop goal‑directed nursing plans based on diagnoses and patient outcomes.
• Prioritize patient care using available resources, time, personnel, equipment and supplies.
• Respond efficiently to emergency situations, follow protocols, and document events accurately.
• Apply knowledge of medical/surgical care, pain assessment, pharmacology, laboratory values, safety and legal issues.
• Identify problems, make sound decisions, and resolve issues promptly.
• Document patient care promptly, accurately and concisely.
• Work collaboratively with the care team and maintain professional standards.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications and attend mandatory in‑service training.
• Review and execute physician orders and assist with additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (or obtain within 60 days of hire).
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency or Phase II level of care.
• Strong organizational skills for a fast‑paced OR environment.
• Preferred CMSRN certification.
• Completion of de‑escalation training within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work under Category I occupational exposure conditions.
