Recruitment Consultant

About the role

Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for a dynamic and proactive Recruitment Consultant to join its growing team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate manages the end-to-end recruitment process, maintains candidate databases and builds long-term client relationships by providing quality staffing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing and placement of candidates.
• Work closely with clients to understand their hiring needs and organisational culture and deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
• Maintain and update candidate records in the ATS (e.g. ZOHO Recruit).
• Conduct background checks, reference checks and initial onboarding as required.
• Assist in preparing client proposals and job descriptions.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to promote open vacancies on appropriate channels.
• Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience throughout the process.
• Support HR consulting projects, including psychometric testing and staff evaluations.
• Maintain recruitment metrics and generate periodic performance reports.
• Stay updated on labour market trends and emerging recruitment practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment, staffing or HR consulting; experience in a recruitment agency is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritise effectively.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated integrity and discretion with confidential information.
• Team player with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
