Quality Controller

About the role

The Quality Controller will support the drill and blast operations at our mining site, ensuring all blasting activities are performed safely, accurately, and in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Demarcate the area to be charged and ensure proper layout.
• Safely store and handle explosives on the bench.
• Dip drilled holes to verify design parameters.
• Prime holes for bulk explosives and monitor stemming height.
• Ensure correct stemming of blast holes and spot the stemming loader operator.
• Maintain housekeeping on the charged pattern and assist with final tie‑up.
• Act as a Blast Guard when required and perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Certificate of secondary education or higher.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in drill and blast or open‑pit mining environments.
• Valid Tanzania driving licence and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Strong safety background and commitment to a safe working environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and technical aptitude to interpret schematics.
