QHS Auditor – Quality, Health & Safety Auditing

About the role

The Quality, Health & Safety (QHS) Auditor will lead auditing activities across ITM Tanzania Limited’s operations in Dar es Salaam. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that all processes meet internal policies and international standards for quality, occupational health and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and document systematic QHS audits (internal and external) in line with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and local regulations.
• Identify hazards, assess risks and propose corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate operational threats.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, maintain accurate records and present findings to management.
• Support the development and delivery of safety training and awareness programmes for staff.
• Monitor compliance with statutory occupational health and safety legislation and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Quality Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, NEBOSH are an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, health‑safety auditing or industrial risk compliance.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in conducting audits against ISO standards.
• Ability to assess workplace risks and develop CAPA plans.
• Effective written and verbal communication for reporting and training.
