Project Coordinator

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of the Economic Empowerment project aimed at improving skills, economic opportunities and resilience of women and youth in the coffee value chain in Tarime, Mara region, Tanzania. The role works within Plan International’s child‑centered development framework and collaborates closely with local partners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all activities of the Improved Skills, Economic Opportunities and Resilience of Women and Youth in coffee farming project.
• Maintain quality assurance, reporting, monitoring & evaluation and communications in line with the donor agreement.
• Develop and sustain positive relationships with key collaborators, including the Tanzania Coffee Research Institute, Tanzania Coffee Board, Tarime District Council and other development partners.
• Manage project resources, budgets and timelines to ensure timely delivery of outputs.
• Ensure compliance with Plan International’s safeguarding, PSHEA, gender equality, inclusion and diversity policies.

Required profile

• Commitment to Plan International’s standards and policies on safeguarding, gender equality and inclusion.
• Ability to work closely with programme area staff, local implementation partners and private‑sector representatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
