Head of Program Implementation / Country Representative

About the role

The Head of Program Implementation will provide strategic and operational leadership for Raising The Village’s programs in Tanzania, overseeing day‑to‑day management, ensuring alignment with the organization’s vision, and representing RTV to key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, budgeting, implementation and monitoring of RTV programs across Tanzania.
• Develop and execute growth, scaling and innovation strategies, supporting overall country expansion plans.
• Ensure cross‑team collaboration, strategic alignment and effective resource planning.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements and relevant legislation.
• Drive quality, learning and impact through robust monitoring, evaluation and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government structures, donors and partners.
• Mentor and coach regional managers and district heads, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in large‑scale program design, implementation and management, preferably in ultra‑poverty contexts.
• Proven leadership, analytical and strategic management skills.
• Deep understanding of agriculture, water, health and community development in Tanzania.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English; Swahili proficiency is a plus.

• Experience integrating technology and real‑time analytics into program operations.
