Private Sector Engagement Expert – Non-Key Expert

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Private Sector Engagement Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The role focuses on strengthening private‑sector participation, business development, innovation, investment and commercial opportunities across African and European space ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement between companies, entrepreneurs and investors in the space, geospatial and technology sectors.
• Conduct market and value‑chain analyses to identify commercial opportunities.
• Provide business support, matchmaking and commercialization assistance to foster investment.
• Promote knowledge exchange and partnership building between African and EU stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy dialogue and institutional partnerships that enhance the sustainability of African space ecosystems.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field (or four additional years of relevant experience if the degree is absent).
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Minimum eight years of professional experience in private‑sector development, industrial cooperation, innovation, business development or investment facilitation.
• At least four years of experience engaging companies, entrepreneurs or investors, including market/value‑chain analysis, business support, matchmaking, commercialization and access to finance.
• Experience in the space, geospatial or technology sector, particularly within Africa, is highly relevant.
