Pharmacy Internship – 6-Month Hospital Programme

About the role

The 6‑month Pharmacy Internship at Aga Khan Hospital offers recent BPharm graduates a structured introduction to hospital pharmacy practice. Starting in July 2026, interns will gain hands‑on experience across key pharmacy services in a leading private not‑for‑profit teaching hospital in Dar es Salaam.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through the dispensary unit, handling medication dispensing and patient counseling.
• Assist the clinical pharmacy team with medication therapy management and patient case reviews.
• Provide drug information support to clinicians and patients.
• Participate in procurement activities, including inventory management and supplier liaison.
• Gain exposure to sterile preparation techniques in the aseptic pharmacy.

Required profile

• BPharm degree from a recognised university (graduating 2025/2026).
• Provisional registration with the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania.
• Strong academic record (GPA ≥ 3.0 preferred).
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.
• Demonstrated interest in hospital pharmacy practice.
