Packaging Process Operator

About the role
The Packaging Process Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining packaging equipment in filling and labelling areas. The role focuses on achieving optimal plant performance while ensuring product quality and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Operate packaging equipment according to VPO standards and shift schedules.
- Monitor process performance, record short stops, and apply VPO tools to correct out‑of‑control situations.
- Document waste, product movement, and quality check results in the designated information systems.
- Identify defective plant components and report them to the Process Artisan or Team Leader.
- Assist in on‑shift repairs and support the Process Artisan/Machine specialist.
- Conduct required quality checks, record outcomes, and react using VPO tools.
- Participate actively in shift meetings, log issues, and communicate hand‑overs to the incoming team.
- Maintain adherence to PPE, safety standards, 5S, and general housekeeping.
Required profile
- Willingness to work rotating shifts.
- Logical, analytical problem‑solver comfortable in an unstructured environment.
- Team player with good communication and listening skills.
- Proactive attitude, initiative, and drive for continuous improvement.
Required skills
- Operation of packaging and labelling equipment.
- Process monitoring and control using VPO tools.
- Basic mechanical maintenance and fault reporting.
- Quality control procedures and data recording.
