Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will support senior management in delivering seamless daily operations at Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge. This role ensures that guest experiences are exceptional, sustainability goals are met, and the lodge’s brand standards are consistently upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior management in overall responsibility for effective lodge management.
• Assist in training and developing staff as needed.
• Place daily operational orders in a timely, budget‑sensitive manner and delegate tasks.
• Manage and update lodge to‑do lists and ensure compliance with the &Beyond Golden Thread and Brand Standards.
• Oversee lodge styling guide updates and coordinate with the hospitality training team.
• Maintain administrative functions, beverage control, and uniform compliance.
• Oversee all Food & Beverage operations to meet company standards.
• Host and interact with guests daily, handling check‑ins, check‑outs, and special requests.
• Manage guest itineraries, activities, and ensure clear communication across departments.
• Lead the green team and conservation initiatives, promoting sustainability.
• Assist with social media, PR communication, and staff delight activities.
