Operations Lead – Tanzania

About the role

The Operations Lead for Tanzania will oversee all fleet and border operations across both company‑owned and subcontracted assets. Reporting to senior management, this senior position ensures safe, timely, and compliant execution of trips while driving efficiency and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all Tanzanian operations, guaranteeing safe, on‑time, and compliant trip execution for both owned and subcontracted fleets.
• Take full accountability for operational delivery, incident response, and escalation of critical issues.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop the local operations team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders—including top management, commercial teams, clients, subcontractors, and government authorities—to align operations with strategic objectives.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and procedural requirements, maintaining robust governance and reporting.
• Drive optimization initiatives to expand capacity, improve processes, and maximize fleet performance.
• Maintain high standards of safety, risk management, and operational integrity.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in logistics or transport operations, preferably within a multi‑modal environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑development skills.
