Network Development Associate – Africa

About the role

The Network Development Associate based in Africa will play a key role in strengthening engagement, communication, and coordination across the HelpAge Global Network, supporting member interaction, knowledge sharing and the effective functioning of the HelpAge Digital Portal.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen communication and coordination between HelpAge International and network members across Africa, supporting the HelpAge digital portal and organising webinars, thematic sessions and peer‑learning events.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the Regional Adviser, Africa, including preparing meeting materials, managing member onboarding, maintaining data in HelpAge CONNECT (Salesforce) and SharePoint, and coordinating translation and interpretation services.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in regional or global network coordination, member engagement and event administration, preferably in international development or humanitarian settings.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and maintain discretion with sensitive information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce (HelpAge CONNECT) and SharePoint for data management.
• Familiarity with digital collaboration and data‑visualisation tools.
• Basic design and editing skills using Canva, WordPress and Mailchimp.
• Experience organising virtual events, webinars and online knowledge‑sharing platforms.
