Marketing Executive – Solar Energy, Zanzibar

About the role

A growing renewable energy company based in Zanzibar is hiring a Marketing Executive to support the expansion of its solar energy solutions across residential, commercial and tourism sectors. The role focuses on generating leads, closing sales and building client relationships while educating customers on the value and long-term benefits of solar power. The ideal candidate has experience in technical or solution-based sales and can engage directly with business owners and decision-makers.

Key responsibilities

• Execute integrated marketing campaigns targeting B2B and B2C audiences across key market segments.
• Support client-facing activities such as product pitching, presentations and sales enablement.
• Develop and deliver marketing content such as social media posts, blogs, case studies and promotional materials.
• Manage digital marketing channels including social media, paid campaigns and website updates.
• Coordinate and support marketing events, activations, exhibitions and product demonstrations.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform campaign strategy and customer targeting.
• Work closely with the sales team to generate leads and support conversion.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in energy, construction or technical products.
• Strong communication, negotiation and closing skills.
• Self-driven and able to work independently in a target-driven environment.
