Marketing Manager – Solar Energy, Zanzibar

About the role

A growing renewable energy company based in Zanzibar is hiring an experienced Marketing Manager through Summit Recruitment & Search. The role leads marketing strategies that promote solar energy solutions across residential, commercial and tourism sectors, building brand visibility, generating leads and educating the market on the benefits of solar power.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research on customer needs, target audiences and opportunities, and analyse competitors and renewable energy trends.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies with consistent messaging across all channels.
• Plan and manage digital campaigns including social media, SEO, online advertising and website management.
• Create articles, blogs, videos and social posts, and develop brochures, banners, flyers, presentations and other materials.
• Support sales through lead generation, campaigns and client presentations, engaging directly with business owners, developers and hospitality clients.
• Organise marketing events, exhibitions and community initiatives, and run offline initiatives such as solar demonstrations and mobile solar showcases.
• Tailor strategies to the Zanzibar market, local energy challenges and the tourism sector, while complying with local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, Engineering or a related field.
• Marketing experience in the energy, renewable energy or solar sector.
• Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, SEO, website management, content creation and event organisation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, creative thinking and analytical abilities.
• Cultural awareness and adaptability, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of solar energy systems: on-grid, off-grid and hybrid systems, solar water heating and e-mobility solutions.
• Digital marketing, SEO, website management and content creation.
