Lodge Manager – Grumeti River Lodge

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to lead the Grumeti River Lodge, a 5‑star boutique property within the &Beyond portfolio. The role combines operational oversight, guest experience excellence, financial stewardship and staff development to ensure the lodge runs smoothly and sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Overall management of the lodge including operations, guest services, maintenance, kitchen, finance and human resources.
• Lead the senior management team and supervise all staff, fostering a culture aligned with the &Beyond Golden Thread and brand standards.
• Prepare, monitor and control budgets, forecasts and CAPEX programmes in partnership with the Lodge Administrator and Regional Finance Manager.
• Oversee infrastructure development, IT maintenance, security, emergency response, healthcare facilities and environmental health programmes.
• Maintain relationships with local, regional and national government bodies and ensure compliance with licences and permits.
• Collaborate with Wild Impact on conservation and community projects and drive sustainability targets.
• Manage lodge marketing and social media presence, ensuring regular internal communication.
• Travel between camps and lodges as required.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of management experience in a 5‑star boutique hotel or lodge environment.
• Proven ability to deliver world‑class guest experiences while controlling costs.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Risk assessment and compliance management.
• Knowledge of hospitality operations, food & beverage, and facility maintenance.
• Experience with social media platforms for marketing purposes.
