Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1.1)

About the role

The Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1.1) ensures the airworthiness, safety and technical reliability of aircraft operating at Station Miri. You will certify maintenance work, troubleshoot defects and support daily flight operations in line with regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) in compliance with Part 145 and civil aviation regulations.
• Lead line‑maintenance activities to minimise Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and maintain on‑time dispatch.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, defect rectification, troubleshooting and inspections safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with MOC, Logistics, Flight Operations and other stakeholders to manage technical issues, spare parts and operational recovery.
• Provide technical guidance, supervision and on‑the‑job coaching to maintenance technicians.
• Ensure availability of tooling, ground support equipment, technical publications and facilities required for daily operations.
• Respond promptly to AOG situations and operational contingencies to restore aircraft serviceability.

Required profile

• Holder of a CAAM B1.1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
• Preferably type‑rated on ATR‑72 or Viking DHC‑6.
• Minimum 2 years of certifying experience in an approved Part 145 environment.
• Strong safety and compliance orientation.
• Excellent technical decision‑making and troubleshooting abilities.
