Legal Personnel

About the role

A client in the automotive industry based in Dar es Salaam is looking for a highly organized and professional Legal Personnel to manage its legal and compliance matters. The role covers day-to-day legal operations, contract drafting and review, legal documentation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while assisting with litigation and coordinating with external advocates.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day legal and compliance matters for the company.
• Draft, review and manage contracts, agreements and other legal documentation.
• Follow up on legal documentation and ensure proper record keeping.
• Assist with litigation matters and coordinate with external advocates when required.
• Provide legal guidance and support to internal departments when needed.
• Ensure company operations comply with laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Maintain organized legal records and documentation systems.
• Monitor legal risks and recommend actions to management.
• Support the company in resolving legal and contractual issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or a related legal qualification.
• Must be a registered and stamped Advocate.
• Previous experience in a law firm is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a similar legal role is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential matters with discretion.
