Key Account Manager – Corporate

About the role

Airtel Africa is seeking a results‑driven Key Account Manager to lead corporate sales in Tanzania. You will be responsible for expanding revenue, acquiring new corporate customers, and retaining existing accounts while delivering tailored telecom solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Grow revenue by acquiring new corporate business and increasing existing account revenue by at least 30% YoY.
• Maintain churn below 3% through proactive relationship management and debt minimisation.
• Identify and target organisations not currently on Airtel Tanzania’s books, including competitors’ customers.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, tenders and proposals that match customer needs with Airtel products and services.
• Maintain accurate sales records, generate regular reports, and increase share‑of‑wallet by cross‑selling additional solutions.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to suggest new offerings and differentiate from competitors.
• Develop and execute account development plans, ensuring timely data entry into Airtel’s CRM system.
• Serve as the central point of contact for all sales‑related issues for assigned corporate accounts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate account management or key‑account sales, preferably in the telecom sector.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue growth and retention targets.
• Strong understanding of telecom products and services.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts and travel as needed.
