IT & Support Officer

About the role

The IT & Support Officer will ensure smooth operation of the organisation's IT environment by installing, maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software and network systems. The role also supports data collection, reporting and virtual infrastructure management.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot computers, software applications and network infrastructure.
• Develop and support data collection and submission systems to improve data quality.
• Analyze data and generate statistical reports to aid business operations.
• Perform SQL and Oracle database querying, administration and monitoring.
• Manage user accounts, profiles and access permissions in Microsoft Active Directory.
• Execute daily system backups and manage backup rotation between onsite and offsite storage.
• Administer virtual servers and storage using VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Support IT infrastructure both onsite and remotely, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, consultants and internal teams on IT projects.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues and recommend technology solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and maintain accurate IT records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration or infrastructure support.
