About the role
The ICT Intern will support Amref Health Africa’s technology environment, gaining hands‑on experience while assisting staff with everyday IT needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide user support via help‑desk (phone, email, etc.) and log technical faults.
- Perform basic PC hardware, software and network troubleshooting, including performance monitoring and diagnostics.
- Configure and test ICT equipment, install Amref standard software on new computers, and carry out routine maintenance such as virus scans and updates.
- Assist staff with setting up meeting and conference equipment (projectors, laptops, etc.).
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science or related field.
- At least six months of relevant work experience.
Required skills
- PC hardware troubleshooting.
- Software installation and configuration.
- Network troubleshooting basics.
- Virus scanning and system updates.
