Human Resource Trainee

About the role

Palmpay is looking for a proactive and results‑driven Human Resource Trainee to support the HR department in day‑to‑day operations. This position offers hands‑on exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR administration, preparing you for a future career in human resources.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in recruitment activities such as posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
• Support onboarding processes, including documentation and induction programs for new hires.
• Maintain and update employee records in HR systems.
• Help organize training sessions, workshops, and employee engagement activities.
• Provide administrative support for payroll preparation and benefits management.
• Assist in drafting HR policies, notices, and internal communications.
• Participate in performance appraisal processes and collect feedback.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
• Handle employee queries with professionalism and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Labour Relations, or related field.
• 6‑12 months of experience as a human resource trainee.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of HR practices and labour laws.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
