HR Manager - Renewable Energy

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited, a reputable organization in the renewable energy and sustainability industry, is hiring a Human Resources Manager in Dar es Salaam. The role leads and oversees the full scope of HR operations, balancing strategic alignment with management while building a strong, people-centred company culture. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and initiatives aligned with business objectives, and advise management on HR decisions.
• Lead performance management, including setting KPIs, conducting appraisals and developing improvement strategies.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection, and oversee learning and development and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements and company policies.
• Handle employee relations, conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures fairly and consistently.
• Oversee compensation and benefits administration.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field; a Master's or professional HR certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
• Proven expertise in performance management systems and organizational culture development.
• Demonstrated ability to balance employee advocacy with organizational priorities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of local labor laws, regulations and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, able to influence decisions at management level.
• Leadership skills to inspire and develop a high-performing HR team.
