HR Manager or Assistant HR Manager – Tanzania

About the role

TOPPAN Security is looking for a qualified HR professional to join its Tanzania team as either an HR Manager or Assistant HR Manager, depending on experience. You will lead core HR functions, ensure compliance with local labor regulations, and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.
• Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and maintain confidentiality of employee data.
• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws, tax regulations, social security contributions, and internal policies.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and standards.
• Coordinate performance management processes such as appraisals and improvement initiatives.
• Identify training needs and organize development programs to boost skills and career growth.
• Support employee engagement activities and promote teamwork.
• Supervise office administration and employee welfare initiatives.
• Assist with health, safety, and environmental policy implementation.
• Provide HR guidance to managers and staff and prepare HR reports for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of HR experience, preferably within Tanzania.
• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and regulations.
• Proven experience in recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
