HR Assistant (Volunteer)

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a motivated HR Assistant to support the implementation of its HR policies and procedures. This volunteer position will contribute to delivering high‑quality, client‑focused HR services across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance on general HR queries and follow‑up actions to ensure consistent, high‑quality HR services.
• Offer guidance and on‑the‑job training to staff, enhancing their knowledge of HR systems and procedures.
• Liaise with internal units such as payroll and contracts, supplying necessary information for timely HR services.
• Extract and compile HR data on recruitment, contracts, entitlements, performance and training to support analysis and reporting.
• Provide administrative support for various HR tasks as required.

Required profile

• Familiarity with WFP HR policies and procedures.
• Ability to respond to HR queries and provide clear guidance.
• Experience in liaising with internal units (e.g., payroll, contracts).
• Capability to extract, compile and analyse HR data for reporting purposes.
